Monte Carlo Solitaire

Monte Carlo Solitaire is a single-deck pair-matching game played on a 5x5 tableau. Twenty-five cards are dealt face-up into the grid, and the remaining twenty-seven sit in the stock. Your goal is to discard every card to the foundation by pairing two cards of the same rank that touch horizontally, vertically, or diagonally.

When no more pairs are available, click the stock to compact the remaining cards toward the top-left of the grid and refill the empty cells with new cards from the stock. After the stock runs out, clicking it still compacts the layout so you can keep looking for pairs. You win when the tableau and stock are both empty; you lose when no pair is reachable and a redeal would change nothing.
